The Bond Scheme is available to those people who match the following criteria:
- Applicants must first seek support from Citizens Advice Bureau
- Applicants must be recovering or ex-drug/alcohol users
- Applicants must be homeless or vulnerably housed
- Applicants must already live in and be staying in Nottinghamshire
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age
- Applicants must have a support worker
If an individual fits all the above criteria, they can apply for a bond and possibly the first months rent (if applicant is eligible for a crisis loan from Job Centre Plus they may be asked to try there first). If necessary we may also cover costs for administration fees, which are often required by estate agents.
It is the responsibility of individuals to locate their own property.
We will only pay money directly to a landlord or estate agent.
At the end of the tenancy, the bond will be returned to the Bond Scheme. If the applicant left the property for genuine reasons, they MAY be able to apply to the Scheme again.
We cannot act as a guarantor under any circumstances.
Our decision is final.
